Global settings
Global blueprints live in the VS Code setting blueprintor.defaultConfig. They are available in every workspace and are marked with 🌐 in the blueprint list.
| Setting | Type | Default |
|---|---|---|
blueprintor.defaultConfig |
object |
{ "blueprints": [] } |
The default is an empty list: the extension ships without blueprints. If neither the settings nor blueprintor.config.js define any, running the command shows the error “No blueprints found”.
Where to edit
Section titled “Where to edit”Open Preferences: Open User Settings (JSON) from the Command Palette and add the setting to settings.json. The setting can also be placed in workspace settings. VS Code offers completion and validation for the fields.
Texts as arrays of lines
Section titled “Texts as arrays of lines”settings.json is JSON, which has no multi-line strings. Write the text of a snippet (or of a file’s inline content) as an array of strings: each element is one line, and the lines are joined with a line break.
